Essay

The analysis of the formation, development, and current state of training of agricultural engineers is carried out in the thesis. Based on the analysis, such dependence is traced — the increase in the number and complexity of agricultural machinery causes a strong demand for agricultural engineers with a tendency to constantly increasing their professional competence requirements.Considering that the provision of basic engineering training in the specialty "Agroengineering" involves the educational level of "Bachelor", in our study, we focused on the competence orientation of vocational training of bachelors in agricultural engineering. Experimental verification of the specified system and generalization of experimental data are carried out. Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the obtained results of the pedagogical experiment, the indicators confirming the positive dynamics of the formation of professional competence as a result indicator of professional training of bachelors in agricultural engineering are stated. These results confirm the legitimacy of the conclusions on the effectiveness of the implemented competency-oriented methodological system, which is based on theoretical and methodological foundations of professional training of future agricultural engineers, aimed at mastering a set of professional knowledge, skills, and profess ionally important qualities as a resultative base of professional competence of modern agricultural engineer.
