Essay

In the dissertation it is carried out for the first time a complex philosophical and religious study of the social ideal in modern Christian thought. It is proved that in the system of factors that form the spiritual sphere modern philosophical and theological works are aimed at deepening the conceptual substantiation of the social ideal. They have not only theoretical but also socio-practical significance given their possible impact on the formation of common spiritual and moral values and norms. The social ideal is not only an ideological abstract construction, but also a criterion for further prospects for the positive development of society and individual. It is determined that the epicenter of the confessional axiology of the social ideal in the range of general theological and philosophical anthropological views and approaches is individual. Fundamental in the formation of the social ideal of individual in modern Christian intellectual discourse is the rethinking of Christian teaching and worship practices related to the image of woman and the inexhaustibility of her social roles and the possibility of realizing her spiritual experience in the Church. Modern Christianity considers the family, the normal functioning of which creates value-positive social results, to be a separate formed social ideal, the primary and basic social institution. It is established that in modern Christianity the positions on the dialogic format of social interaction are growing. The multi-vector nature of communication in the modern Christian social concept is considered as the ontological basis of the very existence of the Church and as a praxeological condition for achieving the social ideal. The educational mission of the Church plays an important role in providing and creating the spiritual foundations of dialogical social forms of relations for the development of society and the formation of the individual. It is proved that the Christian ethos of labor has confessional features and, generating moral and value-normative dimensions of human activity, balances material and spiritual production and consumption. An important modern achievement of Christian philosophy and theology is a critical understanding of the current state and trends in society in economic and political terms. The modern Christian socio-economic ideal is built on anthropological foundations and is seen as a purposeful human activity aimed at meeting material and spiritual interests and needs. Political discourse occupies an important place in modern Christian social teaching and the activity of the Church. The current level of the Church's social policy is accompanied by conflict-free processes and transformations in Christianity caused by socio-political contradictions.
