The research is devoted to solving an important scientific problem - the development of organizational and economic foundations of cold logistics management of enterprises. The relevance of the study is determined by the impact on the activities of enterprises, the transformation of the Ukrainian economy, which requires the formation of new approaches to improving the organizational and economic efficiency of managing the logistics supply chains of enterprises, maintaining their competitiveness.
The change in economic development benchmarks is accompanied by an expansion of the range of issues that determine the rethinking of both economic theory and practical developments, which forms the task of creating the organizational and economic foundations for the application of legislative, regulatory and technical and economic mechanisms for managing cold logistics of enterprises. In the current situation associated with the COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, technologies based on Logistics 4.0 are becoming one of the effective tools for organizational and economic management, which support the development of plans to mitigate risks in the logistics systems of enterprises in cold supply chains.
The dissertation solves the problem of developing theoretical provisions and applied recommendations for the management of cold logistics enterprises. The working hypothesis of the dissertation research is the theoretical substantiation and practical confirmation of the cold logistics management methodology of food industry enterprises from the standpoint of a systematic approach, hierarchy, relationship and interdependence of management decisions and the impact on the efficiency of the cold supply chain of enterprises of various configurations and complexity. The concept of the research is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological provisions, according to which the modern stage of the evolution of the theory of cold logistics and cold supply chain management in the commodity exchange system turned out to be due to innovative changes and requires the scientific and practical development of a new fundamental model for optimizing cold logistics enterprises. Empirically, the relevance of such a model is an important imperative for the further methodological development of the theory of cold supply chain management, which will increase the sustainability and efficiency of the further development of cold logistics in the food industry, forming the preconditions for a qualitative update of their configuration.
The information base of the research, which ensures the reliability and validity of scientific provisions and conclusions, proposals and applied recommendations are the following: the results of scientific and practical research; official statistical sources of Ukraine and European countries; monographic studies of domestic and foreign scientists, periodical and special literature on the issues under study, the results of industry research in the field of cold logistics, food industry, scientific developments of the author. To ensure the representativeness of the results, the activities of 436 food industry enterprises and more than 20 enterprises of cold supply chain operators in 2012-2019 were comprehensively studied.
In the dissertation, the conceptual and categorical apparatus and the concept of cold logistics management have been formed. The theoretical essence and features of the management of logistics innovations in the neo-industrialization conditions, based on the main technological trends in Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0, have been determined. Analytical tools have been developed for organizational and economic diagnostics of objects included in the cold supply chain, taking into account the requirements of legislation, temperature standards, storage modes, risk, uncertainty and the degree of competition. The model for building a network of a cold supply chain for food industry enterprises has been elaborated and tested in the context of the formation of "sustainable" logistics, which makes it possible to quickly manage cold supply chains taking into account environmental factors. The use of the developed algorithms and block diagrams for building supply chains considering the concept of cold logistics allows using a large number of analytical methods to assess the results of logistics activities. The approach to assessing the efficiency of logistics activities of food industry enterprises included in the cold supply chain has been theoretically substantiated and practically confirmed, which provides for the systematization of existing fragmentary methodological approaches based on key performance indicators of enterprises, taking into account risks and uncertainties.
The developed methods and models stipulate the possibility to improve the quality and efficiency of supply chain management in various sectors of the food industry.
