The theoretical foundations of innovation and investment support of economic security of the agricultural sector are studied. Problems of ensuring economic security of the agricultural sector are identified. The concept of «economic security» as economic stability and independence of the agricultural sector, as a set of conditions and factors that ensure the independence of its economy, the ability to constantly update and improve agricultural production. Scientific and theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concept of «economic security of the agricultural sector» are systematized. The main task of the investment policy of the agricultural sector is the intensification of innovation and scientific and technical activities in the interests of the national economy, as well as the direction of investment flows in agricultural production.
