The paper provides a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem, which is manifested in determining the structure of administrative and legal principles of security sector management in Ukraine, highlights the problems of their regulation and practical implementation, formulates proposals for improving existing legislation in this area and practice. Conceptual approaches to the definition of administrative and legal bases of security sector management in Ukraine are detailed and highlighted. The organizational and legal features of the security sector of Ukraine in the system of national security are determined.
