Essay

Dissertation work is devoted to the creation of scientific bases of theoretical and experimental research of high-temperature equipment of carbon-graphite electrode production for the development of innovative design and technological technical solutions for obtaining competitive carbon-graphite electrode products. A generalized mathematical model of physical fields of technological processes of carbon-graphite production is developed, which is based on the continuum-discrete approach to the description of nonlinear behavior of both solids, liquids and gases, and bulk media. The complex of physical properties of the components of the raw materials base of carbon-graphite production is clarified. Experimental studies of the physical state of the equipment of the redistribution of carbon-graphite production necessary to perform its numerical analysis have been carried out. Theoretical studies of the effect of basic geometric and physical parameters on the processes occurring in the equipment of the main process stages of electrodes production: calcination of filler, pressing "green" blanks, roasting and graphitization. Express methodology for determining the average mass temperature of the electrode billets in Kastner graphitizing furnaces is developed, which is necessary for the development of rational graphitizing regulations directly in the conditions of industrial production. Structural and technological technical solutions for obtaining graphitic carbon electrode products as well as methods of their design have been developed and patented.
