The concept, essence and content of the service career in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine are revealed. The service career as an important factor of police officers’ motivation is characterized. The legal nature of the service career in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine is clarified. The assessment of the state of research of the service career legal regulation in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine is provided. The features of the formation of the police officers professionalism as a factor of their service career are outlined. The essence of training and advanced training of employees of the National Police as factors of their service career is revealed. The thesis provides a characteristic of the attestation legal regulation as a factor influencing the possibilities of the service career implementation in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine. It is established how the norms of labor and administrative law correlate in the legal regulation of the factors of the service career in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.
