The dissertation provides a theoretical generalization and a new solution to the scientific problem of increasing the efficiency and improving the administrative and legal regulation of police activity, taking into account international experience, as well as defining new doctrinal approaches to the development of police relations in Ukraine. The current state of scientific development of comparative issues of administrative and legal regulation of police activity is analyzed. The concept of police activity and the patterns of its transformation in modern conditions are defined. The essence of integrated police activity has been clarified. The international experience of the development of the structure of police activity is summarized. Conceptual approaches to the organization of police activity in the conditions of international integration are summarized. The administrative and legal characteristics of integrated types of police activity are provided. The organizational principles of police activity in Ukraine and the USA have been clarified. Peculiarities of the organization of police activity in the Baltic countries have been determined. A general description of the administrative and legal status of the police bodies of Ukraine is given. The peculiarities of the functioning of the system of police bodies in the USA, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are determined. The powers of the police in Ukraine, the USA and the Baltic States have been established. A comparative description of the sources of administrative and legal support for integrated police activity is given. A comparative analysis of legislative acts regulating police activity in Ukraine, the USA, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia was carried out. The integrated standards of police activity when using information and legal technologies have been identified. Proposals for amendments to the legislative acts of Ukraine regulating police activity have been submitted. Conceptual approaches to the harmonization of the domestic regulatory framework of police activity in Ukraine with the regulatory and legal acts of the EU countries are substantiated. Proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the administrative and legal regulation and organizational support of the police of Ukraine in accordance with the provisions of the latest legal concept of integrated direction have been formulated.
