Essay

The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of criminological problems of preventing organized crime in Ukraine. For the first time, the scientific problem of developing a holistic doctrinal approach to the formation of the concept of preventing organized crime was raised and solved, which provided an opportunity to justify proposals aimed at improving legislation and the practice of its application. The main theoretical and legal foundations of the preventing organized crime are revealed through the analysis of the concept, essence, features, social danger, criminal responsibility and foreign experience of its prevention. A criminological description of organized crime in Ukraine is provided. The state and trends are revealed, the reasons and conditions contributing to the commission of criminal illegal actions by organized groups and criminal organizations are singled out, as well as a criminological description of their leaders and other participants is provided. The conceptual principles of the organization the subjects’ activities of the preventing organized crime are outlined, preventative measures are developed and implemented in their practical activities. It is suggested the ways to improve the interaction of law enforcement agencies with other agencies.
