In order to substantiate and improve pathogenetical mechanisms of arterial hypertension(AH), the study was performed on 378 patients, aged 17-79 years, with AH; of them, there were 100 cases with stage 1 of AH, 82 cases with stage 2 of AH, 54 cases with stage 3 of AH and 140 cases with stage 4 of AH. The structure of haemodynamic reconstruction in patients with initial and subsequent stages of AH was revealed, it enabling substantiation for rational use of antihypertensive agents. The following methods were used: tetrapolar thoracis rheography, echocardiography, radioimmunological, spectrofluorometric, statistical and others.
