Essay

The high antimetastatic effectivity of interferon-alfa (IFN) was proved, including its application with operative excision of primary tumors and its combination with cytostatics. Antitoxic effect of IFN in vivo and its normalizing action on hepatic multipurpose oxidases activity were also revealed. It was shown, that tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in vivo promotes hematogenic metastasis and modulates tumor cell metastatic potential. The results prove absolute expediency of clinical application of IFN with the purpose of metastasis prevention and put under a doupt possibility of using TNF for this purpose.
