Subject of research-prestressed concrete elements with glass-reinforced plastic and steel reinforcing, glass-rein forced plastic self-anchored reinforcement, combined structures; purpose-foundation of structures of lowered power expenditure and principles of their calculation taking into account physical and geometric non-linearities; methods of research-experimental methods using standard and specially developed equipment and apparatus and theoretical methods using personnel computer. Class of glass-rein forced plastic concrete structures was developed and intro duced. Self-anchored glass-reinforced plastic reinforcement, combined structures, systems of local prereinforcement and deformation reinforcement of steel reinforcement, principles of lowering power expenditure, principles of calculation of suggested structures and tension parametres were developed, researched and introduced. Developed structures were introduced into power and civil construction of Ukraine and Georgia, reconstruction, speci al purpose structures, reconstruction norm project of Ukraine.
