National systems and the system of international standards of social security. To investigate social security systems under the globalization of economy, to define the limits of employment of the international experience in this field to transition economies' conditions. Basic methods of research include systemic approach, structural and functional analysis, methods of historical dialectics, comparative studies. Social security is proved to be a mechanism for human potential preservation and development. Its main branches, instruments of government regulation, national models and peculiarities under the globalization of economy, interrelations in the system of macroeconomics were determined in the study. A concept of social security system is proposed for Ukraine. The conclusions and recommendations of the work are utilized by government and trade unions of Ukraine, universities. 6156
