Object of investigation: macroheterocyclic purines, cyclogomologues of xanthines and their analogues. Aim of investigation: a new approach to design of derivatives of purines and cyclogomologues of xanthines, synthesis and properties. Methods of investigation and instruments: organic synthesis, IR, UV, NMR spectroscopy, mass- spectrometry, X-ray crystal structure analysis. Theoretical results and novelty: new synthetic approaches to crownpurines, cyclogomologues of xanthines and their analogues have been worked out. It was estimated a comparative influence of modified fragments on chemical properties and structure of purine analogues. A novel reaction of recyclization of tetranitrodibenzo-18(24)-crown-6(8) derivatives to appropriate monobenzo-9(12)-crown-3(4) was accomplished. Practical results and novelty: new derivatives of purines, imidazo[4,5e][1,4]diazepines and related heterosystems have been obtained. New compounds may be utilized as syntons in fine organic synthesis and are perspective as poten tial cardiotropic and antivirael agents. Subject and degree of introduction: patents and inventions, application of present work results in education practice in universities of Ukraine. Efficiency of introduction caused due to the more perfect synthetic methods of 1,3-diazole derivatives including purines and other di- and threecyclic heterosystems. Field of application: chemistry and medicine.
