Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigating the ultrastructural myocardial remodelling, clarifying pathogenesis and morphogenesis ofischemic heart disease, essential hypertension and diabetes mellitus. It has been revealed that atherosclerosis is spread over periarteriolar interstitium of the heart. Cholesterol crystals are generated in themacrophagic secondary lisosomes. The macrophagic hypothesis ofatherosclerosis and thrombogenic concept of variant angina is offered. In the infarction zone it has been revealed that the the nucleus prolapse into the interstitium is the cause of cardiomyocyte necrosis in the first hours of myocardial infarction. Lymphatic capillaries eliminate cytotoxic lipids from the necrotic zone decreasing the infarction area. Essential hypertension and diabetes mellitus damage blood and lymphatic microvessels causing interstitium remodelling and cardiomyocyte ischemia. The results of our research have been implemented in the diagnostics of atherosclerosis the treatment of myoca rdial infarction patients, and academic course staught to medical students
