Rudakov V. Strong electric fields arising in the capacitor structures and improvement of the high-voltage high power capacitors

Object of research -high Voltage Power Capacitors. The purpose of research - the improvement of capacitors on the basis of determination of the quantitative relationship between distribution of the electric field and the service life of capacitors. Methods of research - computations of electric fields on ECM, mathematical modeling and processing of testing. Theoretical and practical results - the phenomenological theory of destruction of a capacitor insulation, methods of prediction of the service life have been elaborated. Novelty - the concept of the inverse dependence of the service life of insulation on "stressed volume" and the model of insulation destruction have been developed, the encompassing dependencies of the service life have been derived. A degree of introduction - the obtained results have been implemented into 50 types of capacitors. The sphere of employment - electric power engineering.
