Titiyevs'kyj S. Longitudinal study of mental disorders in liquidators of the consequences of the Chornobyl accident

The dissertation is devoted to topics that are connected with the origin of mental disorders in Chornobyl accident consequences cleaning up (ChACCU) participants - liquidators. The new direction in radiation psychiatry which is based on the informative factors' conception was elaborated due to complex, long-term study of 442 liquidators. There is established that taking into consideration of data which characterize the condition of mental and physical health, social functioning of liquidators gives the possibility of quantitative estimation of correlations between the organic brain damage manifestations and ChACCU. Numerical methods of analysis of the radiation and non-radiation factors' influence on the rise of mental disorders, of the express-diagnostics of these disorders, the system of short-term complex psychotherapy in patients with disorders after ChACCU are proposed, the high effectiveness of them is stated by using of theoretical investigations and in practice. The main results of the work ha ve found a clinical utility in the modern forms of treatment and diagnostics in patients with mental disorders connected with ChACCU.
