Essay

The thesis is aimed to evaluate the clinical features of different supraventricular tachyarrhythmias and to analyze results of the application of some pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment strategies in order to elaborate approaches to the management of the patients with these arrhythmias. In the group of 2028 patients results of amiodarone cardioversion and intracardiac cardioversion as well as long-term treatment with class I and III antiarrhythmica, catheter ablation and pacing were evaluated. Schemas and algorithms for treatment of atrial fibrillation and flutter were proposed and benefits of catheter ablation in some clinical groups were showed. An application area is a practical cardiology. The study results were implemented in a work of some hospitals and institutions
