Essay

Carpathian region within the territory of Ukraine and the neighbouring foreign territories, Volyn-Podillia regions. Based on the tectonics of the lithospheric plates, it is explained the geodynamic conditions of forming of the studied regions. There is an area of collision of the Euro-Asian plate with the Pannonian microplate within Transcarpathian depression. The regularities of the hydrocarbon fields occurence and conditions of their forming have been clarified along with new discoveries. The know directions of the geological exploratory operations for oil and gas have been specifield and new ones suggested.
