The dissertation is devoted to an important problem of the study of pathogenetic mechanism of thyroid pathology development in the participants of the Chornobyl accident clean-up using radiological techniques (US, RIA) and working out the system of dispensary observation of these patients to minimise long-term stochastic thyroid effects.The priority direction of radiation medicine, induction of thyroid diseases with 131I with the account of the long-term after-effects of its influence according to the results of monitoring of the persons who participated in the Chornobyl clean-up.
