Solved are scientific and technical problems related with improving service properties of structural materials (cast iron, grafitized and high-speed steels, nickel based alloys) for glass-forming tools. Scientifically based methods for complex research of a failure mechanism was developed as well as predicting durability of materials which are in a contact with viscous aggressive medium, as glass mass, at thermocyclic and mechanical loads. The relationship of fluency of structural factors and chemical composition of materials for proposed criteria of reliability and durability was determined. Basis result of the work have found on application in glass engineering.
