Essay

The thesis is devoted to a rise in effectiveness of protection of outside and inside surfaces of welded pipelines from the most dangerous types of damage such as stress corrosion cracking,pitting corrosion,spot corrosion, intergranular corrosion, contact corrosion based on development of electrochemical methods of a research, evaluation and prediction of these processes. Pecularities of the mechanism of metal corrosion in hydrocarbon media, such as petroleum, natural gas, oil products and soil were established. Concepts of the origin of local ceners of corrosion of metals as on the random process were advanced. The mathematical model of local corrosion in low-alloy pipe was developed.
