Gunas V. Regional peculiarities of finger and palmar dermatoglyphics and their relation with the indices of personality traits of practically healthy men of Ukraine

As a result of a study of dermatoglyphs of 400 practically healthy men aged from 19 to 35 years in the third generation of residents of the relevant regions of Ukraine for the first time revealed features of qualitative and quantitative features of finger and palm dermatoglyphics that characterize the male gene pool of the country and revealed the contribution of each of 5 administrative-territorial regions in the general phenotypological picture of dermatoglyphics of the male population of the country. The idea of differentiating ability of dermatoglyphics features as an important taxonomic marker of regional affiliation of men of Ukraine is formed. For the first time, administrative-territorial regions of Ukraine with high heterogeneity and significant homogeneity of dermatoglyphic features characterizing the current degree of genetic kinship and differences of the male population of the country, which is a consequence of regional asymmetry of migration processes in Ukraine have been found. For the first time the analysis of reliable discriminant models of belonging of practically healthy men to a certain administrative-territorial region of Ukraine depending on features of indicators of finger and palm dermatoglyphics is constructed and carried out. As a result of research of dermatoglyphs and personality indicators of 92 practically healthy men of the same age in the third generation of inhabitants of the Podillia region of Ukraine for the first time features of correlations between dermatoglyphic indicators and indicators of personality features are established. For the first time, with the help of factor analysis, the main factors that have a significant impact on the formation of indicators of personality traits of practically healthy men - "ridge count of fingers" and "the value of the angle atd" have been found.
