Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the influence of diaphragmatic breathing in the mode of biological feedback on the functional state of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) of healthy individuals according to the heart rate variability with the possibility of its use for the correction of autonomic dysfunctions. It is known that the functional state of the autonomic nervous system is one of the most significant factors that determine the features and consequences of various pathological processes. Autonomic dysfunction is often not only a background, but also a cause of many diseases of the internal organs, so the correction of the functional status of the ANS is a necessary element of etiologically and pathogenetically sound treatment. In clinical medicine, non-invasive technologies have been increasingly used in recent decades. This trend has given impetus to the development of biological feedback as a way of treating and preventing diseases of the cardiovascular, nervous and other systems. Using specialized devices and sensors allows a person to get feedback from heart rate, skin temperature, brain activity, blood pressure, breathing, and muscle activity. When using a biofeedback with a heart rate variability loop, information is provided on the sequence of R-R intervals that reflect the activity of the body's regulatory systems. Biological feedback is considered as an effective method of training the necessary psychophysiological skills, which has been demonstrated in a number of scientific studies in the field of psychophysiology. In particular, biological feedback methods are used to increase the efficiency of self-regulation of body functions.
