Essay

The thesis deals with the development of physical-chemical basics of the technology of low-melting glass and composite solder glass in the oxide systems PbO–ZnO–B2O3–SiO2 and PbO–B2O3–SiO2–GeO2, which have a set of properties and are used in the instrument making, electronics and electrical engineering industry. The object of research is the low-melting glass and composite solder glass in the oxide systems PbO–ZnO–B2O3–SiO2 and PbO–B2O3–SiO2–GeO2. The subject of the study is is the technological parameters of manufacturing and the regularities of changes in the properties of low-melting glass and composite solder glass, depending on their chemical and material composition. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of new chemical and material compositions, as well as establishment of the basic technological parameters of obtaining low-melting composite solder glasses with low thermal expansion and colorless optical glasses with increased transmission of infrared rays in the wavelength range of 2.7–5.5 μm.
