Bulatin D. Administrative and legal bases of carrying out preventive activity by police: comparison of experience of Ukraine and the EU countries

The dissertation contains a theoretical generalization of a topical scientific problem related to the definition of administrative and legal bases for preventive police activities by comparing the experience of Ukraine and EU countries, as well as ways to improve them. As a result of the research, a number of provisions and conclusions have been formulated which are aimed at achieving the set goal. The essence of prevention as one of the directions in the fight against crime is defined. Prevention differs from the concepts of prevention, prevention, prevention, cessation in that it is aimed at preventing the development of the subjective side of the offense at its initial stage. It is determined that prevention aims to eliminate or transform illegal thoughts, intentions and desires and create reliable deterrents.
