In today's context, it is undeniable that water transport, as an infrastructure industry, must develop rapidly. The relevance of scientific research is related to the need to determine the actual level of reliability of complexes of equipment of river and sea transport equipment in modern operating conditions with the aim of scientifically and methodically ensuring the solution of the tasks of extension of the assigned terms of service (resources) both at the level of solving the scientific task and to substantiate the practical recommendations. In the practical sphere, this leads to an insufficient information base and eliminates the possibility of maintaining the normative level of efficiency of the equipment of the river and sea transport facilities during the commissioning of the technical condition. This, in aggregate, constitutes the content of the scientific thesis of the dissertation, which is essential for science and practice.hus, in solving the problems of development of the transport industry of Ukraine, water transport in particular, the scientific task is urgent, which is to improve the models and methods of forecasting the longevity of the equipment of river and sea transport when operating by technical condition to solve the problems of extending the assigned service life (resources). This dissertation is dedicated to solving this problem.
