Shcherbyna N. The phenomenon of respect in contemporary humanitarian discourse (historical-philosophical analysis)

The dissertation is devoted to the phenomenon of respect in contemporary humanitarian discourse, using historical-philosophical analysis. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the works of representatives of British empiricism, namely their views on respect. The study is conditioned by the historical dynamics of humans, society, nature, the world in general, as well as the need for in-depth study of the sphere of moral concepts as a foundation for optimizing the mechanisms of interpersonal relations due to contemporary socio-political processes. An important aspect of respect is that it occupies one of the transitional places in the system of connection of moral norms and codified rules of conduct, which led to an in-depth study of the philosophical-legal works on the role of respect in legal relations.
