The purpose of the dissertation research is to develop theoretical and practical proposals and recommendations for optimizing the administrative and legal regulation of the State Bureau of Investigation. The specifics of the genesis of the formation of the State Bureau of Investigation in Ukraine are determined. Features of the current state of administrative and legal regulation of the State Bureau of Investigation are described. The content of organizational and legal bases of activity of activity of the State bureau of investigations is detailed. The characteristics of the structure and elements of the administrative and legal status of the State Bureau of Investigation are revealed. The significance of the purpose, tasks and functions of the State Bureau of Investigation has been clarified. An analysis of the competence and guarantees of the State Bureau of Investigation was carried out. A list of theoretical and practical problems of administrative and legal regulation of the State Bureau of Investigation has been formed. The directions of improvement of the organization of activity of the State Bureau of Investigations in the conditions of European integration of Ukraine are singled out.
