Marusevich D. Administrative and legal regulation of social protection of police officers

The paper examines the issues of administrative and legal regulation of social protection of police officers, as well as on the basis of the development of positive foreign experience identified possible ways to improve it. The social protection of police officers is defined as a set of legal, economic and organizational measures applied by public administration entities and aimed at establishing basic and additional guarantees that ensure the realization of the rights and legitimate interests of police officers in accordance with the conditions of service, status of persons and their families. time of service and after its completion, which includes two groups of guarantees: basic (guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine) and additional (guaranteed by the laws of Ukraine), ie guarantees related to the conditions and state of health and life of police officers, members his family. The criteria for classification of types of social protection of police officers are proposed as follows: 1) depending on the subjective features of social protection of police officers; 2) depending on the type of insurance case of the police officer; 3) depending on the forms of social protection.
