Essay

The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of the basic principles of the theory and practice of crime prevention in the context of global processes of globalization, as a result of which scientifically based proposals and recommendations for improving the legislation of Ukraine on national policy, international cooperation in the field of crime prevention were developed. The statue of scientific development of crime prevention problems is determined and transformed by modern dangerous trends in the processes of globalization. An analytical review of relevant theories and views on globalization as a process of planetary unification of economic, political, and cultural relations is carried out; a number of current and projected threats to national security and national interests of Ukraine in the context of the modern model of globalization are identified; the negative consequences of globalization are described, this process leads to the internationalization of crime, turning it from problems of a national nature into a problem of an international, transnational level. The existence of an actual scientific request for a comprehensive modern study of the conceptual foundations of crime prevention in Ukraine is justified, it associates with modern dangerous trends in the processes of globalization taking place in the world.
