Thesis is aimed at solving topical task of modern ophthalmology – improving efficiency in predicting the development and progression of diabetic retinopathy (DR) in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients via researching exogenous effect and endogenous L-FABP-dependent intracellular regulation of lipid metabolism and formation of the concept of genetically determined defects to substantiate the directions of individualized therapy.
