Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the chronic pancreatitis' course peculiarities in patients with atherosclerosis and the development of effective differentiated methods of their treatment. The influence of biochemical and hormonal factors (in particular ghrelin and kallistatin) on the course of this comorbid pathology was established. The optimized treatment regimen for chronic pancreatitis and atherosclerosis with the addition of nutraceuticals and melatonin to the complex therapy was proposed. Additionally, the indicators of the component body composition were studied and the influence of colon dysbiosis on the psycho-emotional state of the studied patients was determined. The dissertation has important practical value as the received research results provide the possibility to improve the diagnostic and medical algorithm of the management of chronic pancreatitis in combination with atherosclerosis.
