Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of neurovisualization markers of discirculatory encephalopathy (chronic brain ischemia) with predominant damage to small vessels (small vessels disease). The most attention was paid to the iron deposition in the basal ganglia and brain pathways fractional anisotropy changes, that were determined by SWI and DTI MRI sequences. In this study, it was found that these markers are associated with cognitive impairment and movement disorders, as well as cerebral hemodynamics and biochemical indicators of venous blood. The purpose of this work was to deepen understanding of the pathogenesis of cognitive impairment and movement disorders development in patients with dyscirculatory encephalopathy and to supplement the methods of diagnosis based on neurovisualization research methods, such as DTI and SWI MRI sequences.
