Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual problem of modern medicine - to improve treatment of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and spine with concomitant pathology. Osteoarthritis (OA) and chronic lower back pain are the most common diseases of the musculoskeletal system worldwide, and their incidence continues to rise. The combination of OA with other chronic diseases is observed in 30-60% of patients, and such multimorbid patients are characterized by a mutually aggravating course of comorbid pathology with a high frequency of disability. An urgent issue of internal medicine is the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, arising from metabolic disorders (hyperuricemia, obesity), which are risk factors for osteoarthritis, and bone structure disorders, which requires the use of differentiated personalized approaches in choosing such pharmacotherapy patients with combined pathology in therapeutic practice. The aim of this study was to increase the effectiveness of treatment of patients with OA of the knee and spine with concomitant obesity, hyperuricemia and low bone mineral density through the differentiated use of symptomatic slow-acting anti-inflammatory drugs.
