Thesis for a scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 091 «Biology» – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, – Kyiv, 2020. The dissertation is devoted to the research of genetic diversity of Plum pox virus in Ukraine. Detection of plum pox virus in different regions of Ukraine was carried out to establish the spread of the virus and further study of molecular-biological features and phylogenetic analysis. The urgency of the topic of qualification work is due to the need of deepen study the spread of plum pox virus in Ukraine, as it is a quarantine pathogen, which is highly dangerous to plants of Prunus, causing epidemics and economic costs in many countries around the world. The virus is spread in different regions of Ukraine and poses a serious threat to horticulture and large planting areas of stone fruits. Therefore, it is important to study the genetic diversity of the plum pox virus in our country to prevent the spread of infection and create effective preventive measures to combat the pathogen.
