Essay

Thesis is devoted to the improvement of the diagnosis of bronchial asthma on the basis of studying the polymorphism of the collagen genes COL1A1_1 (rs1107946), the ACTN3 gene (actinin, alpha 3) rs1815739, interleukin-4 (C-589T) and aldo-ketoreductase family 1 in ventilatory capacity of the lungs in children with bronchial asthma and the features of the clinical course of the disease, takingin to accountenvironmental factors. The work shows 120 children from 8 to 17 years, 11 months, 29 days (average age 14.01 ± 0.24 years), including 95 children with bronchial asthma, who were hospitalized in the allergy department of Children's Clinical Hospital № 5, Zaporozhye, and the control group - 25 practically healthy children, representative by age. All groups were compared by age and sex (p> 0.05), examined by doctors (pediatric allergist and pediatrician), who in making the diagnosis were guided by the data of general clinical and instrumental examinations and the requirements of current orders of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. According to the results of questionnaires, analysis of living conditions, clinical and anamnestic data, assessment of physical development of children, laboratory indicators, it was found that 27.36 % of children had an intermittent course of the disease. The majority of patients - 34.7 % had a mild persistent course of asthma.
