Essay

According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the prevalence of hypertension (AH) in adults (18 years and older) among the class of cardiovascular diseases in Ukraine is 46.8%, which indicates that almost half of patients in the country with diseases of the circulatory system is high blood pressure. The course of hypertension in most cases is due to the presence of cardiovascular risk factors. Against the background of the widespread prevalence of hypertension, there is a significant increase in cases of comorbid hypertension and obesity. Disorders of carbohydrate, lipid and adipokine metabolism are found in obese patients, which in turn plays a leading role in the development of complicated course and progression of hypertension. At the present stage of epidemiological and clinical studies, the data suggest that adipose tissue can be considered as a factor of active endocrine regulation due to the secretion of various hormones, growth factors and adipokines, which may become additional links in the pathogenesis of metabolic disorders that lead to to the development of cardiovascular disease and obesity.
