The legislative, normative-legal and methodical base concerning the functioning of artificial protected parks of Ukraine in general and Rivne region in particular is analyzed. As a result of the literature review, scientific information on the current state of complex structural studies of protected areas in different regions of Ukraine is systematized. According to the results of elaboration of many bibliographic sources, stages
of formation of the network of artificial protected parks of Rivne region have been singled out, the first of which begins in 1972. The modern network is formed by 24 objects, four categories of nature reserve fund, namely: 1) park monument of landscape art (13 objects), 2) dendrological park (one), 3) zoological park (one), 4) natural monument (nine). They are located within 12 districts of Rivne region. The area of artificial protected parks of Rivne region is 215,2 hectares, a significant share (74,5 %) of which belongs to the parks-monuments of landscape art. The vast majority (19) of the studied protected areas of local importance, their area is 59,5 % of the total area of parks. As a result of the assessment of the aesthetic condition of the model park elements, it was established that the plantings of 11 artificial protected parks of Rivne region received an average value corresponding to the II class of aesthetics. Klevansky (4 points), Mlynivsky, Tuchynsky, Ostrozhetsky (3,5 points each)
PPSPM have the highest indicators of aesthetic compositional accents of plantations. The highest indicators of aesthetics of park spaces are inherent in Rivne Zoo, complex PM «Volodymyretsky Park», as well as Oleksandriia, Mlyniv and Velykomyzhyrytsia parks monuments of landscape art. Aesthetically, the most valuable park landscapes are typical for Mlynivsky and Velykomyzhyrytsky parks monuments of landscape art (16 points each). Aesthetically high-value landscapes are described in 13 studied parks, in nine parks the aesthetic condition of landscapes is of average value. In general, the evaluation of artificial protected parks in Rivne region revealed that a significant part of the parks has an average
degree of aesthetics.
