In the dissertation work the new scientific problem of energy consumption reduction of root crops tops harvesting process is solved by development and substantiation of rational haulm gatherer working bodies parameters. Energy consumption is reduced by combining the cutting and moving operations of the cutoff tops with one active (rotary top cutter) and one passive (guide channel) working body.
