The research work is devoted to the problem of improving the treatment results of patients with acute peritonitis. With the help of comprehensive experimental ¬and clinical studies of acute peritonitis pathogenesis, new methods of its diagnosis and treatment, the new, defined and known mechanisms of acute peritonitis development have been revealed. This allowed us to create a new algorithm of management tac¬tics based on ¬a well-developed prognostic scale. It includes a reasonable choice of the scope of patients’ treatment before, during, and postoperative period using the developed methods for acute peritonitis diagnostics, rehabilitation, and drainage of the peritoneal cavity.
