The object of research is the phenomenon of modern Yoga. The subjectof research is the receptions and practices of modern Yoga in philosophical and anthropological discourse. The dissertation solves the scientific-applied problem, according to which not only do we learn the phenomenon of modern Yoga but also highlight that the formula "Do yourself and keep moving", which is the basis of Yoga, is gaining momentum as its practical implementation in modern society. that the formula "Do yourself and keep moving", which is the basis of Yoga, is gaining momentum as its practical implementation in modern society. The paper presents the following results obtained for the first time: the nature of the spread of Yoga in the cultural space of the East in terms of its diachronic and geographical development was analyzed on the basis of ancient texts, the author's interpretation of its paradigmatic development was substantiated. The author also revealed the roots and character of the rational in traditional Yoga as well as its anthropological-religious semantic load that is a factor of the integrity of the cosmic, anthropological, axiological. In addition to this, the determinants of the development of modern Yoga, which arise on the basis of a new sense of culture, time and under the influence of certain challenges of consumer society were identified. It was established that the habitus of modern man in new contexts changes depending on the qualitative processes of working with the body on the basis not only of its functional improvement, but also in order to learn the spiritual and fulfill the social as inseparable processes in forming a general understanding of "humanity". The understanding of the habitus was substantiated. Thus, it appeared possible to propose principles basing on which a person practicing Yoga copes with solving the problem of preserving and finding selfidentity as a process of complementary combination of internal and external meanings of their existence in a complex world full of excessive information in order not to lose their identity and individuality. The author developed and verified a comprehensive methodological program for teaching modern Yoga school "Asanga(असङ्ग) Yoga", which helps to reveal the vital-ontological potential of man, taking into account its micro-, macro- and meso-levels (everyday, borderline and crossborder dimensions) of being.
