Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of the possibility of cooperation of logic and cognitive science through united logical-cognitive analysis of the concept of "thinking". According to the purpose and the tasks, special attention in work is paid to answer the following questions: united logical and cognitive interpretation of the concept of "thinking"; clarification of Ukrainian logical and cognitive terminology related to the concept of "thinking"; consideration of methodological principles and prospects of cooperation of logic and cognitive science in the study of the concept of "thinking". The relevance of the study is due to the rapid scientific and technological progress, which is interested in the reproduction of thinking for "smart machines", as well as the variability of philosophical views on this problem in contrast to the common logical and cognitive interpretation of the concept of "thinking" as a certain structure, which offers the prospect of the joint researches. The united logical and cognitive analysis provides an opportunity to study the various elements (logical and cognitive) of this structure in their relationship, adhering to a holistic view of thinking. The reason for choosing this topic for the thesis is that joint logical and cognitive researches are still not numerous in the world. In Ukrainian logical studies thorough research on this issue does not yet exist at all. However, the cooperation of logic and cognitive science makes it possible to expand the tools and issues of both scientific fields, which was demonstrated in this thesis based on the analysis of specific examples of logical-cognitive modeling of thinking.
