Nahrebelna L. Improvement of traffic management on the main street and road network of cities

The relevance of the study is to ensure road safety on the main street and road network of the city. The purpose of the work is to improve traffic management on the main street and road network of cities in the places of entrance to the exit and exit from the highway using the theory of queuing. In the course of the dissertation, mathematical models of traffic flow on the elements of the system "Overtaking" were developed to ensure road safety and minimize the time required to perform maneuvers. Regularities of traffic flow on the highway race are obtained on the basis of development of algorithms of its homogenization by composition. A method for controlling traffic flows at the entrances to and exits of the highway has been developed, which differs from the existing ones by using technical means of traffic organization, namely road marking and queuing theory. This makes it possible to increase the capacity of the main road network of cities in these places; reduce the number of points of conflict and the likelihood of accidents. The method of determining the capacity of the main street lane with the use of time intervals at the places of entry into the exit and exit from the highway has been further developed.
