Essay

In the presented work the improvement of the existing technological process of formation of a surface corrosion-resistant layer of cast products of the chemical equipment that provides considerable increase of their operational stability is considered. The paper considers the influence of the nature of activators on the formation of the structure and properties of the diffusion titanium, chrome-plated, siliconized layer. The results of the study of additional additives to the saturating mixture on the phase composition, structure and properties of the diffusion layer are obtained. Based on the results of the research, a new saturating mixture was developed for diffusion titanium, containing along with the main components approximately 7% CdCl2, which provides a significant increase in the performance properties of diffusion layers on gray cast iron and steel.
