Essay

The dissertation is devoted to theoretical and experimental research aimed at improving the efficiency of cooling systems sea and river vessels based on absorption refrigeration units (ARU) with secondary heat sources. For marine refrigeration and air conditioning systems, a well-known energy-saving proposal is the use of heat-using devices that utilize the heat of the exhaust gases of the main marine engines and boilers. The efficiency of the proposal is due to the fact that heat losses with flue gases of boilers on modern ships are 7…8 %, heat losses in diesel engines of ships 28…40 %. In addition to the treatment of their air in air conditioning systems, artificial cold produced by heat-using refrigeration machines can be used for deep cooling of charge air and household needs. The need for artificial cold for these purposes is 2000 - 5000 kW, which is easy to provide with the help of heat-using refrigeration machines - steam ejector and absorption. One of the ways to increase the energy efficiency of marine refrigeration systems is the utilization of waste heat to implement the refrigeration cycle. There are a large number of technical proposals for use in ship air conditioning systems absorption bromistolithium refrigeration machines. In this case, there is no need for additional diesel fuel to generate electricity for refrigeration machines. At the same time, bromistolithium systems do not allow to obtain cooling temperatures below 0 ° C and cannot be used for low-temperature storage of food and raw materials, as well as for deep supercooling of charge air of diesel units.
