Marienko L. Threat or violence against judge, lay judge or juror: criminological characteristics and prevention

The dissertation is devoted to the complex criminological characteristics of threats and violence against judges, lay judges, jurors (Article 377 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the development of prevention measures. For the first time the state of threats and violence against judges, lay judges and jurors has been descripted and explained. As a result, it was highlighted quite high level, unfavorable dynamics, general growth trend with high latency (about 86,5%), correlation with staffing factors, the lack of clearly defined territorial (according to geography) patterns of distribution, difficult structure with a predominance of verbal threats of murder against judges, which are expressed in connection with the participation of a person in criminal proceedings and which are burdened by the recurrence of crimes.
