Minenko L. Formation and development of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine (1995–2013)

In the thesis, for the purpose of objective assessment of formation and development of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine in conditions of the historical period from 1995 to 2013, is founded, generalized, and analyzed historiography and source base. For objective system coverage the processes of professional development of museum business of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including for example functionality of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine are used general-scientific, special scientific and concrete-problem methods of research. The peculiarities of the formation of the military museum network in the system of educational and socio-psychological work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during 1995–2012 are described. The historically objective value of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine is defined in this system. The main stages of formation and development of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine are researched and proposed its appropriate periodization. Historical place and role of the branches of the main museum institution of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is defined in the system of national-patriotic education in our state and in the system of educational and socio-psychological work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The results of its work are analyzed. The questions of the institutional transformation of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine are researched. It is defined, due to what internal and external factors achieved responsive institutionality and how it is affected for public recognition of the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine in our state and abroad. In the present-day historical dimension has revealed the specifics of the main directions of functioning and tasks performed by the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine. There are analyzed in detail its achievements regarding scientific – research, cultural, educational work, exhibition and PR activity, issues of methodical accompaniment of the development museum formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The peculiarities of system-scientific acquisition of the stocks of the museum are generalized. The essence of the content “model of the heuristic museum search system” is improved, that was formed and effectively used by the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine during the research period. It is accomplished its visualization. There are defined perspective directions of the further research.
