This dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and contributes to solving one of pressing scientific issues that consists in determining the regulatory role of NAD+ -dependent deacetylase SIRT1 in M1/M2 monocyte/macrophage polarization under physiological conditions and under the increased nutrient intake in overweight individuals and individuals having class I obesity.
