Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving an important scientific and technical problem of improvement the finishing of the channel near-weld zones of angular waveguides, which are one of the main elements of radar stations, for increasing productivity and reducing costs through polishing with brush polymer-abrasive rotary tools. On the basis of a system analysis and generalization of the finishing experience of angle rectangular waveguide channel, the final stage of the channel production with the using of rotary brush tools based on polymer-abrasive fibers was formulated, substantiated, theoretically and practically developed, for ensure high quality and productivity and reduce the cost. The technological capabilities of automated and mechanized processing of complex-profile parts with hard-to-reach areas, such as rectangular angular waveguides, with polymer-abrasive brush tools (PABT) in order to form high performance characteristics, reduce manual labor and increase processing productivity have been expanded. Models have been developed for predicting the resulting channel surface roughness and electrical parameters of waveguides, which are based on studying the surface quality and the surface layer properties of full-scale samples and the angular rectangular waveguides after polishing with various tools, including PABT, which makes it possible to effectively apply finishing with these tools. For the first time, a model of the influence of processing modes, tool parameters and properties of the processed material on the wear rate of fibers of polimer-abrasive disk- and tube-brushes was developed, which makes it possible to ensure high quality and productivity through timely adjustment of the tension during automatic processing, minimal wear of PABT and, accordingly, high performance. The devices and methods have been developed for researching the cyclic durability of PABT fibers and determining the temperatures in the zone of fiber fixation to study the causes of their destruction and separation. The introduction of improved finishing, technological recommendations and restrictions on the use of PABT allowed to refine the surfaces quality of the near-weld zones of the channel of waveguide angular bends without reducing the electrical conductivity of the surface layer, which lessened losses in the waveguides.
